I intentionally pushed these images to their limits: converting them to black and white, exaggerating the contrast in Photoshop, leaving the prints in the sun to blow out the highlights and finally crushing the images before photographing them again for the final print.
I wanted to create luminous, otherworldly and ephemeral landscapes that yearn to vanish into the darkness and where the main focus of the photograph is its deepest flaw.
