Life in Wartime
I am drawn to the materiality of my craft, I push the limits of what a "photograph" is by adulterating the negative or print with slices, tears or burns. I hope to create tension between the subject matter and the added destructive and compositional elements.
For me this reflects the tension I feel between living peacefully in my country while my country collaborates to conduct war and violence on others.
